Fabric and Materials requirements:
Tree and Bird Baby Quilt (38" x 41")
Six coordinating ⅓ yard cuts of 44" wide fabric for the background (pale, small prints work best)
⅓ bright or contrasting 44" wide fabric for the trunk and leaves
¾ yard 44" wide fabric for binding (a fabric that compliments the tree is best)
Small scraps for bird's body, beak and tail
1 ¼ yard 44" wide fabric for the backing
1 yard 44" wide batting (Warm & Natural is preferred)
1 yard 20" wide fusible webbing (Misty Fuse is preferred)
20" length of parchment paper (Reynold's works well)
Rotary cutter, mat, ruler
Darning presser foot for free-motion quilting
Quilting gloves, optional
Disappearing ink fabric marker for tracing fabric pieces
Family Tree Mini Quilt (12 x 12)
2 pieces of fabric ( ~14" x 14") for the background
Scraps of fabric (at least 3" x 3") for the leaves and stems
Scraps (at least 9" x 9") for the branches
¼ yard 44" wide fabric for the binding
1 fat quarter for the backing
1 piece batting (~13 x 13) (Warm & Natural is preferred)
1/4 yard 20" wide fusible webbing (or remnant from above)
20" length of parchment paper (Reynold's works well)
Darning presser foot for free-motion quilting
Disappearing ink fabric marker for tracing pattern pieces
Permanent ink fabric marker for writing names (Wright's EZQuilting markers work well)
